Bedroom V

This small bedroom project focuses on maximizing functionality and storage within a limited space and budget. The design approach was based on simple, handcrafted solutions that transform the room into a practical and comfortable environment while using affordable materials and minimal resources.

The central element of the room is a custom-built raised bed platform made from OSB panels, designed to incorporate multiple layers of storage. Large drawers beneath the bed provide space for clothing and everyday items, while hidden compartments integrated into the platform allow additional storage for less frequently used belongings. This elevated structure not only organizes the room efficiently but also frees up valuable floor space.

Behind the bed, the design integrates a simple open wardrobe, concealed with lightweight curtains instead of traditional doors. This solution keeps the wardrobe visually soft and flexible while significantly reducing cost and saving space that would otherwise be required for swinging doors.

To further optimize the compact layout, a minimal OSB desk structure was custom-made and positioned alongside existing furniture. Its simple modular form creates a small but functional workspace without overwhelming the room. The use of the same material for the desk and the bed platform visually connects the elements and reinforces the handmade character of the space.

The project intentionally embraces the natural texture of OSB panels, combining them with soft textiles, light walls, and simple decorative elements to create a warm and personal atmosphere. Small details, such as leather drawer pulls and plants, add warmth and contrast to the raw material palette.

Despite the very limited budget, the room demonstrates how creative thinking, DIY construction, and multifunctional furniture can transform a small bedroom into a highly efficient and comfortable living space, where every centimeter is thoughtfully used.
